2nd Largest Indoor Farm Show in North America. Show Records 7th Year of Growth!
DES MOINES, IA – October 11, 2013: The Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association has announced that the Nebraska Power Farming Show, December 10-12, 2013 at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln has recorded its seventh year of exhibitor and booth growth and is the second largest indoor farm show in North America, behind only the National Farm Machinery Show hosted annually in Louisville, KY.
The show has grown from 194 exhibitors and 655 booths in 2007 to over 900 exhibitors and 2250 booths in 2013. Throughout the growth, the show went from utilizing two buildings at the Event Center to using all five. “Our goal was to become a regional agricultural event when we started the show back in 2007. As the Event Center added facilities, we were able to expand the show. We are using all of the facilities at this point. Further expansion of the show will require further expansion of the Lancaster Event Center, which is being proposed,” says Tom Junge, Show Director. “Phase 3 for the Lancaster Event Center calls for an additional 200,000 sq. ft. of floor space.”
Junge states, “I reviewed the 2012 floor plans and by better utilizing the space in each facility we were able to add over 150 booths. This additional space has allowed us to add nearlyly 90 new exhibitors.”
The goal each year is to give attendees a powerful experience, where they’re able to see and touch the best and biggest products, and to speak with experts from a variety of companies and organizations to learn about the latest trends and innovations in farming and agriculture. The 2013 show will provide the most powerful experience yet.
